Volunteering

Volunteering at the Grantsburg Library is always welcome. At the library we welcome volunteers to help out with the after school reading program and preschool reading hour as well as various children's programs through out the year. For information about volunteering at the library give us a call, and we can answer any questions you might have.

Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library was originally organized as a group of citizens working for the capital campaign building fund for the present day library.  It was the vision of Mary Ann Erickson.  When the campaign was finished, Mary Ann wanted Friends of the Library to continue as a support group for the library. One of the money making activities sponsored is the Spring Gala in which authors are the featured speakers. These spring galas have been used to raise money for remodeling, additional updated technology, and some smaller immediate needs of the library such as the redecoration of the children’s area. The present board of the Friends of the Library is made up of person’s interested in the continued growth of the Grantsburg library and new members are always welcome.

Donations

We accept donations of books (nonfiction and fiction), movies, and books on CD or cassette. What we may already have in our library system and therefore not utilize we will put with other books for sale. All proceeds of these books go towards purchasing new books and items for the library. Thank you!
